How to Apply
All applicants should include 3 letters of recommendation (at least 2 from mathematics professors), and your personal statement should describe how this program fits with your background and goals. Applicants for the junior year should be mathematics majors. Applicants for the post-baccalaureate program should have taken at least linear algebra and vector calculus.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The preferred deadline for January entrance is October 15, but applications are accepted through December 15. For September entrance, the preferred deadline is March 15, but applications are accepted through July 1. Students applying for financial aid are encouraged to apply by the preferred deadlines as funds are limited.
The application for the junior year program is available through the Office of Admissions. For the post-bac program, applications are processed through the Office of Graduate and Special Programs. All application materials must be mailed directly to the appropriate office (and not to the mathematics department faculty).
