The Center for Women in Math offers great opportunities to participate in math conferences both at Smith and elsewhere.
Conferences at Smith:
- WiMiN 2009
Smith will host the second annual Women in Mathematics in the Northeast Conference on Saturday September 26, 2009. - WiMiN 2008 Smith hosted the first annual Women in Mathematics in the Northeast conference on 27 September 2008. The conference included talks from undergraduates both at Smith and other colleges in fields ranging from statistics to abstract algebra.
- SMath 2007 On 28-30 September 2007, Smith hosted a conference for current Smith mathematicians and alumnae.
Conferences not at Smith:
- Joint Mathematics Meetings On January 5-9 of 2009, Center Students attended and presented papers at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Washington DC.
- HRUMC On April 19, 2009, Smith students will attend the Hudson River Undergraduate Math Conference at Union College in Schenectady, NY.
