Laurel Miller-Sims graduated from Smith College in 2003 with a major in mathematics. She earned her Ph.D., also in mathematics, from McMaster University in 2009. She is thrilled to be back at Smith as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Her primary research interests lie in logic and algebra. Her current projects revolve around the model theory of valued fields.
