Math 114: Calculus: Differential Equations and Power Series

Course meets: TuTh 1:00-2:50pm in Burton 301.

Office hours: Monday 1-3pm, Wednesday 1-3pm, Thursday 3-4pm, and by appointment.

Course description: (From the course catalog) "Differential equations, difference equations, dynamical systems: numerical methods and qualitative analysis. Power series, sequences, and convergence. Situations in science and social science in which calculus naturally arises are emphasized. Intended for students who have had a year of calculus elsewhere [at the AP AB level]. Students may not receive credit for both 114 and 112."

Prerequisites: Solid understanding of differentiation and a brief introduction to integration (at the level of the Calculus AB AP exam), or permission of the instructor.
